Our Story

African essence, made to move.

Joetta Apparel is contemporary womenswear made in Nigeria, for the woman who wants to feel confident, comfortable, feminine and effortlessly herself — all at once.

We began in 2019 with a single idea: that the elegance of West-African craft belongs in everyday wardrobes, not just on the runway. Denim Diaries, our first collection, was a love letter to timeless denim, soft structure and hand-woven heritage textiles — a small, intentional drop that sold through in three weeks.

Five years on, the same hands cut every pattern. The same Lagos atelier finishes every hem. The clothes have travelled to fifteen countries; the philosophy hasn't moved an inch.

Hand-made in Nigeria

Every piece is cut, sewn and finished by a small team of seamstresses in Lagos — never outsourced, never rushed.

Heritage textiles

We weave traditional Aso-Oke, adire and hand-loomed cotton into modern silhouettes — keeping the craft alive in the wardrobes that wear it.

Considered, not seasonal

Small drops, archive-quality pieces, designed to outlast trends. Buy less, wear longer.

A note from the founder

"I started Joetta because I wanted clothes that worked as hard as I do — pieces that carry me from a meeting to a wedding without ever feeling like a costume. Everything we make is a piece I'd wear myself."
